Motown Marvel

One of Motown's most talented artists. Brought jazz elements into soul. Created several of the most romantic records ever made. Helped bring a social consciousness to R&B. Perfected the art of the duet. Utilized several unique production elements in his music. Was the son of a preacher. Had 15 Top 10 Hits. Awards/Honors include Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (1987), Grammy Awards (1982) and Grammy Hall of Fame (1999).

  1. This is tough one. There are so many to choose from, especially from the hint about R&B. I'm at a loss. Probably will feel like an idiot for not figuring this out. Oh well!

  2. Have always liked R&B. So soothing a sound. There were so many that were into R&B that just exploded on the scene. Good thing for us growing up in this time. Still listen to R&B about 75% of the time when I can.

  3. Hi from Motown! Featured artist must be one of the greatest obviuosly. Lots of duets around at that time. The son of a preacher is throwing me off. I was not paying attention to the person's background back then. I only cared about the music and whether or not I enjoyed it.
